Located in the “Heart of the Commonwealth”, Christopher Heights of Worcester offers their senior residents a warm and dignified home to help retain their independence. Throughout the town there is the largest wildlife sanctuary, rivers, canals, and the seven hills the town was settled on. All these facets of Worcester framed the design concept for the country kitchens and Blackstone Lounge renovation. The flowing canal and industrial economy inspired the palette for the Blackstone Lounge, mixing textures, and rich earth tones. Whereas the country kitchens take on a life of their own, each being named after one of the hills in Worcester. Using the same fabrics but differing colorways on the chairs in the country kitchen, are an identifier for the residents that connect the units throughout the building.
