River Mills Assisted Living at Chicopee Falls

A newly constructed Assisted Living and Memory Support Community conveys the personal character and history of Chicopee by embracing elements from the local town hall, which was inspired by the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. Utilizing classic Italian motifs, paired with Industrial American elements and materiality from the Ames Manufacturing Co., two different periods in time are elegantly blended.

 Throughout the corridors, historical wall murals are featured to create a sense of place for the residents and act as a talking point for the community to share stories and bond with one another.
